Follow up
The ecological restoration operations in La Réunion are relatively recent and few, especially for the semi-xerophile forest. There is also no feedback from these experiences, at least only empirical knowledge, usually oral, of those who put them in place.
One of the objectives of the LIFE + Forêt Sèche project is to fill this gap and ensure the transmission of feedback from the various restoration and ecological restoration works. The monitoring of the actions undertaken and the evaluation of their effects are entrusted to La Réunion National Park. The latter has chosen a monitoring protocol consisting of characterizing the state of the ecosystem before ecological restoration work and comparing it with the state after works.
